WeavOn is built privacy-first. This policy explains what information WeavOn, Inc collects when you use WeavOn, how we use it, and the choices you have. Your circle stays yours — we don't sell your data or turn friendship into a scoreboard.
Information we collect
We collect only what we need to help you stay close to the people who matter:
- Your phone number — used to create your account, confirm it's really you, and keep your account secure.
- Your profile details — your name, email address, and optional profile photo.
- Friends you invite — when you build a group, you may share the phone numbers of friends you'd like to invite so we can check whether they already use WeavOn and record a pending invitation.
- General location — a coarse city, state, and country to help organize your experience. We do not track your precise, real-time location.
- Basic usage information — limited technical data needed to operate and secure the service.
How we use your information
- Create and secure your account.
- Send one-time verification codes by text message (see below).
- Help you connect and coordinate with the friends you choose to invite.
- Provide, maintain, and improve WeavOn.
- Meet our legal and safety obligations.
Text messages and verification codes
When you create a WeavOn account or sign in, you provide your mobile phone number, and we send you a one-time verification code (OTP) by text message to confirm it's really you and to help keep your account secure.
- These are transactional messages tied to your use of WeavOn — for example, account verification and security. We do not send marketing or promotional texts.
- Message frequency depends on your activity, such as when you sign in or verify your number.
- Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile carrier and plan.
- You can reply STOP to opt out of these messages, or HELP for help. Opting out may prevent you from signing in or completing security steps.
- Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
How we share information — and what we never do
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We never share your mobile phone number or your text-messaging (SMS) consent with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes.
We share information only in these limited ways:
- Service providers who help us operate WeavOn — such as our cloud hosting provider and the messaging provider that delivers your verification codes — and only so they can perform those services for us, under confidentiality obligations.
- Legal and safety — when we believe in good faith that disclosure is required by law or necessary to protect the rights, safety, or property of our users or the public.
Data retention and deletion
We keep your information for as long as your account is active. You can delete your WeavOn account at any time, and we will delete or de-identify your associated personal information, except where we must retain it to meet legal obligations.
Security
We use industry-standard safeguards — including encryption in transit and access controls — to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your data and to limit who can access it.
Children's privacy
WeavOn is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us so we can remove it.
Your choices and rights
You can access, correct, or delete your information from within the app, or by contacting us. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights over your personal information; we honor those rights as required by applicable law.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice.
